2019-20 Preseason Information
Meet the 2019-20 Squad
  • The Peacocks return seven letterwinners from the 2018-19 season, with a trio of starters returning and the addition of one transfer and six freshmen.

Welcome Back
  • Saint Peter's returns the veteran duo of Cameron Jones and Quinn Taylor along with Derrick Woods and Amir Hicks as the team's senior class. Taylor is the only returner to start in more than 30 games last season and he is the team's top returning scorer and rebounder from a year ago. The sophomore combination of KC Ndefo, Dallas Watson, and Majur Majak join the quartet as the remaining letterwinners from a season ago. Ndefo started at forward in 19 games in 2018 and he is the MAACs top returning shot blocker after finishing second in blocked shots as a freshman. Watson made 17 starts at the point guard position for the Peacocks in his rookie campaign, handing out the team's most assists and finishing top-five in scoring.

Time to Suit Up
  • Leading the Peacock newcomers will be redshirt junior guard and Penn State transfer Nazeer Bostick, who sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules. In his two seasons at Penn State, Bostick appeared in 53 games and averaged 3.5 points per outing.

New to Jersey City
African Born
  • Saint Peter's is just one of two men's basketball programs in the country (Oklahoma University) to have four players on its roster that were born on the continent of Africa. Fousseyni and Hassan Drame (Mali), Majur Majak (South Sudan), and KC Ndefo (Nigeria) make up the quartet of African born Peacock players.

Back Together Again
  • The Peacocks have three separate pairs of players who were also high school teammates before arriving at Saint Peter's.
  • Jones and Woods played together at Pennsbury High School in Pennsylvania, the Drame twins played their high school basketball at Our Savior New American School in Long Island, New York, and the duo of Banks and Majak were teammates at The Patrick School in Hillside, New Jersey.

Block Party
  • The Peacocks finished the 2018-19 season ranked third nationally in blocked shots. Saint Peter's ended the season averaging 5.5 blocks per game, only trailing Duke (6.8 bpg) and Washington (5.8 bpg). Ndefo, Majak, and Woods will protect the frontcourt for the Peacocks this season.

Year No. 2
  • Leading the Peacocks into battle for his second year is head coach Shaheen Holloway.
  • Holloway enters the 2019-20 season following a 10-22 overall and 6-12 conference campaign last season. His team closed the season as winners in four out of six games and culminated the year with a first round MAAC Championship win over Marist before falling to eventual four-time champion Iona by just two points in the quarterfinals. Under Holloway, Davauhnte Turner '19 earned Third Team All-MAAC honors and the frontcourt led the Peacocks to a third-place national ranking in shot blocks at the season's end.
