Opening Tip

The Saint Peter's men's basketball team will close the out of conference slate with its longest road trip of the ledger on Saturday, Dec. 28, when the team heads south to Virginia to face Hampton.
Tip-off at Hampton will be at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
Following the 0-3 start to the season, the Peacocks are 3-2 in their last five contests, posting a perfect 3-0 mark against the NEC during the five game stretch.
Last time out, Saint Peter's defeated LIU 69-58 on Dec. 22 at the Barclays Center.
The Peacocks were led in scoring by four freshmen in the road win with Hassan Drame and Matthew Lee scoring 13 points each, while Daryl Banks III and Doug Edert each scored nine points.

Series History

Saturday's dual will be the fourth contests in the series between the Peacocks and Pirates.
Saint Peter's leads the all-time series 2-1.
This will be the first meeting in Hampton between the squads since the inaugural contest in 2013, which the Peacocks won 66-59.
Last season, Saint Peter's edged Hampton 83-80 in overtime on Dec. 29. in Jersey City.

Better Late Than Never

Heading into the final non-conference game, Saint Peter's hasn't been outscored in the second half in seven straight contests --- the season opener was the lone game the Peacocks lost the second half scoring battle.
Through the seven game stretch, Saint Peter's has outscored its opponents by a combined 43 points in the final 20 minutes.

True freshman Doug Edert is connecting on 57.1 percent of his three-point field goal attempts this season, the top percentage in the country.
As a team, Saint Peter's ranks second on the NCAA leaderboard in offensive rebounds, grabbing 15.25 offensive boards per game.

Next Up

Conference play will tip for the Peacocks in the new year, on Friday, Jan. 3, at four-time defending MAAC champion Iona.
