RIVERDALE, NY - The Saint Peter's women's basketball team fell to Manhattan on the road, 62-46.
Briyanah Richardson finished with a team-high 16 points.
Game Notes vs. Manhattan:
- The Peacocks fell behind by five points to the Jaspers to start the game.
- Richardson scored a three to to put the Peacocks on the board, cutting their deficit to 5-3.
- In the final minute of the first quarter, Zoe Pero finished a layup, followed by a layup from Manhattan, bringing the score to 17-13 at the end of the quarter.
- Opening up the second quarter, Manhattan scored six straight points, pulling away from the Peacocks, 23-13.
- At the 2:59 mark, the Peacocks went on a quick 6-0 run, cutting the Jaspers lead down to three points, 26-23, after giving the Jaspers their largest lead of the half, 10 points.
- The Jaspers responded with two straight baskets increasing their lead to 30-23.
- In the last 15 seconds of the half, Cinnamon Dockery finished a layup going into halftime down five points, 30-25.
- In the third quarter, the Jaspers earned an 11 point edge at the 6:39 mark (41-30).
- Sammy Lochner then scored back to back layups, shortening Manhattan's lead to 41-34.
- The Peacocks and Jaspers continued to exchange baskets to close out the third quarter with a 49-40 score.
- Midway through the final quarter, the Jaspers went on a 8-0 run, extending their lead to 61-45.
- The Peacocks scored a total of six points in the last quarter, with three of the six points coming from Richardson.
- The Peacocks couldn't catch up after the run, losing 62-46.
Inside The Numbers:
- Richardson finished with a team-high in assists and points, finishing with 16 points and three assists.
- Zoe Pero added a total of 12 points and a team-high of seven rebounds.
- Cinnamon Dockery also grabbed a team-high, seven rebounds, while also scoring eight points.
- Sammy Lochner and Dockery each had three steals against the Jaspers.
