Box Score 2 EASTON, PA - The Saint Peter's softball team lost both games to a non-conference doubleheader at Lafayette on Thursday. The Peacocks lost the first game 5-1 and the second game 6-3.
Game Notes vs. Lafayette:
Game 1:
- Lafayette scored the first run of the game in the first inning to go ahead 1-0.
- In the second inning, Lafayette scored two more runs, taking the lead 3-0.
- In the third inning, Anja Solveig Kanehit a homerun, cutting into the Leopards' lead, 3-1.
- In the bottom of the third, Lafayette brought in another run, leading 4-1.
- In the fourth inning, Lafayette scored another run, winning the game 5-1.
- Sydney Senerchia pitched for four innings earning three strikeouts.
Game 2:
- In the first inning, Alina Guevera singled bringing in the first run for the Peacocks to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
- Natasha Solano doubled to left field bringing in two more RBI's, 3-0.
- In the fourth inning, Lafayette scored two runs, shortening the Peacocks' lead to 3-2.
- In the sixth inning, Lafayette scored four runs to take the lead for good, 6-3.
- Natasha Solano had a team high two hits against Lafayette.
- Barbara Verrastro earned three strikeouts against the Leopards.
