RIVERDALE, NY - The Saint Peter's softball team was defeated in both games against Manhattan on Wednesday, falling 8-0 in five innings both games.
Game Notes vs. Manhattan:
Game 1:
- Manhattan scored the first run of the game in the first inning off a home run.
- In the second inning, the Jaspers scored another three runs, leading 4-0.
- In the fifth inning, Manhattan scored four more runs to win the game, 8-0.
- Anja Solveig Kane earned the only hit for the Peacocks against the Jaspers.
Game 2:
- The Jaspers scored the first run in the first inning.
- Manhattan hit a double, scoring the second run in the third inning, to take a 2-0 lead.
- In the fifth inning the Jaspers added on six more runs to end the game, winning 8-0.
- Alina Guevara and Katie Sciglimpaglia earned one hit each against Manhattan.
- Sydney Senerchia pitched the whole game earning four strikeouts.
