Dominic Laws as its August Student-Athletes of the Month.
Alanis Alvarado enters her sophomore season after a standout rookie campaign that resulted in her earning All-MAAC Rookie team honors. The outside hitter from Bayamon, Puerto Rico, appeared in all 34 matches for the Peacocks in 2018, closing out the season as the team leader in total points, total kills, and she was the lone Peacock to record over 1,000 total attacks. Additionally, Alvarado ranked second on the lineup in points per set, kills per set, total digs, and total double-doubles, while ranking third in digs per set and fifth in total blocks. She made history on Sept. 28, 2018, becoming the first MAAC Women's Volleyball player to earn both Player and Rookie of the Week honors in the same week. Academically, Alvarado was named to the 2018-19 MAAC Academic Honor Roll in July.
Dominic Laws returns to the pitch in 2019 as men's soccer top returner scorer from a season ago. Following his sophomore season in 2018, the 5-foot-9 forward paced the Peacocks with 19 points and eight goals, while also dishing out three assists. A starter in all 19 contests for Saint Peter's, Laws ranked third in the MAAC in goals, goals per game, points, and points per game, leading to All-MAAC Second team accolades. His play on the field and his work in the classroom led to him being honored as the Saint Peter's Sophomore Male Student-Athlete of the Year in May; he was also named to the 2018-19 MAAC Academic Honor Roll in July.
