First Up:
- The Saint Peter's University softball team begins its 2020 season this weekend on the West Coast, as the team travels to the Gaucho Classic, hosted by UC Santa Barbara.
- The Peacocks will participate in two double-headers on the weekend, with bouts against the host and Portland State on Feb. 29, followed by games against Bradley and UC Santa Barbara again on March 1.
- The Peacocks enter this season coming off their most successful year since 2014, winning nine contests last season and the most since the team's 10 win season six years ago.
- The Peacocks will be facing their three opponents this weekend for the first time in program history.Â
On Deck:
- The Peacocks return to the East Coast and will set their sights on UMES for a double-header on Wednesday, March 4. The games are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- Saint Peter's will then head to Virginia for the Hampton/Norfolk Tournament, where they will face off against the likes of Delaware (March 6), Hampton (March 6), Drexel (March 7), Norfolk State (March 7), and UMBC (March 8).
Home Sweet Home
- Fans will have plenty of chances to catch the Peacocks in action this year, as the upcoming season will feature the most games played at Joseph J. Jaroschak Field in the history of the program.Â
- The schedule will consist of 35 non-conference games, beginning with the Peacocks' first home game of the season against Delaware State on March 20 at 3 pm.
- During conference play, the schedule will feature an even split of 10 home and 10 away games against MAAC opponents.
