EDISON, NJ – Saint Peter's women's volleyball senior Angeleyshka Curbelo has been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Female Student-Athlete of the Week.
Curbelo has been one of the best players this season for the Peacocks. The senior outside hitter has amassed 123 kills and 116 digs for Saint Peter's. She has started in every match this season, including a 3-1 win against Fairleigh Dickinson on September 11, in which she had 13 kills and one assist, totalling 14 points. Curbelo set a career high in blocks (6) on October 10 against Quinnipiac. She also has two double-doubles this season.
A senior from Carolina, Puerto Rico, Curbelo has a career total of 680 kills as of October 15, 2021. She also has ten double-doubles during her spectacular career as a Peacock.
