The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team will travel to Iona on Thursday for the final game of its 2020-21 regular season slate.
The match against the Gaels is set for a 1 p.m. kick-off at Mazzella Field.
The Peacocks recently secured a crucial win on the road at Canisius on Monday, April 5, recording their third victory of the season with a 3-1 decision over the Golden Griffins.
Senior forward Dominic Laws recorded his second multi-goal performance of the season against Canisius, finishing the day with two goals, including what would be the game winner in the 69th minute.
Fellow senior and captain Jordan Jowers had a career-outing against the Griffs, finishing the day with a career-high three assists, playing a role in all three of Saint Peter's scores on the day.

History with the Gaels:

The all-time series between the two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foes is nearly even, with Iona holding a slight 20-18-4 edge in the matchup's history.
Last year proved to be a storied season between the Peacocks and the Gaels, as Saint Peter's would secure a 3-1 victory over Iona in Jersey City on October 19, 2019 after playing a man-down for 50 minutes of the match.
The two sides would then meet in the 2019 MAAC Men's Soccer Championship Final in Jersey City on November 17, 2019. The game went the distance, eventually extending into extra minutes, until Iona was able to put it away with a 4-3 win in the 100th minute.
Much of Saint Peter's success against the Gaels has come at home over the history of the series, and the team will look for its first win in New Rochelle since its 1-0 victory on October 17, 1990.
