DOVER, DE – The Saint Peter's University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets (18-25, 16-25, 16-25) to Delaware State in the season opener on Friday afternoon at Memorial Hall in Dover, Delaware.

- Saint Peter's never led in the opening set of the day, falling behind in the match 1-0 after a 25-18 first set score.
- Stephanie Rivera was the offensive spark in the set for the Peacocks, accounting for five kills -- the most kills by any Peacock in any set during the match.

- Setter Wildalys Soto paced the offense with a team-high 10 assists, followed by rookie Jayden Easingwood's eight in her collegiate debut.
- Rivera was one kill shy of double figures, ending her day with a team-leading nine successful attacks.
- Alanis Alvarado and Curbelo each posted five kills to follow Rivera.
- Defensively, the libero duo of sophomore Alwen Pila and freshman Charlee Cordts both logged six digs each, while Alvarado added five digs.
- Freshman middle blocker, Suzzanne Bigelow was a force at the net, earning two block solo and two block assists for a game-high 4.0 total blocks.
