JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's volleyball lost three sets to none against Marist on Saturday in the team's first game in Run Baby Run Arena this season.
Freshman Elena Bilhartz was the Peacocks leading scorer on the day, tallying 13 points.
Match Notes
- After being tied 2-2, Marist went on a 7-0 run to take a 9-2 lead and never looked back. They would win the set 25-15.
- Saint Peter's took a 6-4 lead in the second set, with Bilhartz and freshman Madison Somberg each getting two points. However, they would never lead again after being tied 8-8. The Red Foxes would take the set 25-16.
- The Peacocks kept it close throughout the final set after Marist opened it up with four straight points. They would win five out of the next six to tie things up at five. It remained within two points for most of the set, but Marist ended up pulling away with a 25-22 third set win.
