BRONX, N.Y. – The Saint Peter's University Cross Country teams returned to The Bronx for the second consecutive meet as they participated in the IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships. The women participated in a 6K race while the men participated in an 8K. The race had over 400 participants on both the men's and women's side.
Shelby Piccinic and Michael Conover led the way for the Peacocks, where Piccinic finished in the middle of the leaderboard on the women's side.
Race Highlights

The day started with the women's 6K, where the aforementioned Piccinic took 196th place out of 400 women with a time of 24:08.3.

Diamond McLaughlin finished second on the Peacock leaderboard behind Piccinic for Saint Peter's, placing 331st. McLaughlin finished with a time of 28:57.4.

Kaylah Davis followed McLaughlin on the Peacock leaderboard in 333rd place with a time of 30:13.

Anaya Jennings (335th, 30:32.9), Karilyn Jimenez (337th, 31:10.3), and Ka'Rynn Hill (338th, 31:23.5), rounded out the race leaderboard.

The women finished in 33rd place overall with 1059 points.

The men's 8K then followed, with Michael Conover pacing the Peacocks with a time of 29:14.5. Conover shaved almost an entire minute off of his time from just a week ago.

David Szaro came in second on the Peacocks leaderboard in 345th place overall with a time of 30:59.4. Brendan Heaney finished only two spots behind him in 347th place with a time of 31:16.7.

Elijiah Kimboba (352nd, 32:50.6) and Cashieve Blair (358th, 37:55.1) finished out the leaderboard for the Peacocks. Kimboba shaved almost eight minutes off of his time from a week ago.

The men finished in 31st place overall with 1026 points.
Up Next
Saint Peter's takes two weeks off before returning to action in the 2022 MAAC XC Championships. The event will take place on Saturday, October 29th and will emanate from Loudonville, NY. The event begins at 10am.
