Swimming and Diving Competes In First Meet of Season at LIU

BROOKLYN, NY – Saint Peter's swimming and diving opened up the 2022-2023 season in a meet against both LIU and St. Francis on Saturday. The meet was Head Coach Jose Cruz's first with the Peacocks. The team also debuted some new faces on the day.
 

Top Performances

• Senior Luke Cillie won both the men's 100 yard breaststroke and 200 yard breaststroke, with times of 58.93 and 2:15.61 respectively. He was the only Peacock to win a race on the day.
• Graduate Natalie Davis placed third in the women's 100 yard backstroke, clocking in with a time of 1:00.10. She also placed third in the women's 50 yard freestyle (26.16) and third in the 200 yard backstroke (2:15.40).
• Senior Brendan Vieira placed third in the men's 100 yard freestyle (50.36).
• Junior Yanis Benadouda placed third in both the 200 yard backstroke (2:07.03) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:10.07).
