JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Saint Peter's women's volleyball lost three sets to one against Iona on Wednesday.
Freshman Elena Bilhartz was the Peacocks leading scorer on the day, tallying 10.5 points.
Match Notes
- The Peacocks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first set. Iona ended up coming back and taking 11-10 in the set. The Peacocks ended up winning six of the next seven points to regain their lead at 16-12. The Peacocks would end up winning the first set 25-20.
- Iona flipped the script in the second set, taking a 3-0 lead. The Gaels would also hold a 11-3 lead after 14 points. After being down 23-13, Saint Peter's went on a 6-0 run to cut the deficit, but were unable to complete the comeback as the Gaels won 25-19.
- The Gaels kicked off the third set with a 7-0 lead. Iona would win the set 25-13.
- Saint Peter's never led in the fourth set as Iona would also take the fourth 25-13
