Tip-Off 

  • The Peacocks play the second two straight games at home when they welcome the Niagara Purple Eagles on Thursday.
  • The Peacocks are coming off of a 78-66 win over Monmouth last game. Graduate guard Kendrea Williams scored a season high 30 points, while junior center Kassondra Brown recorded her sixth straight double-double, scoring 22 points and picking up 10 rebounds.
  • The two teams met earlier this season at Niagara, with the Peacocks coming away with the 68-64 victory in their first conference game of the season back in December. Brown led the way for Saint Peter's, scoring 21 in the contest.

  • Williams hit three three pointers in the game against Rider on 2/12. She broke the career three-point record at Saint Peter's, as she now has 169 and counting. Tania Kennedy '09 previously held the record with 167 during her outstanding career.
  • Williams reached the 1,000 point milestone at Saint Peter's in the last game against Marist, scoring a layup with 3:26 left in the fourth quarter to hit the magic number. She is the 24th Peacock in history to achieve this.
  • Williams eclipsed the 2,000 point mark of her career with 3:47 remaining in the second quarter against Canisius on 12/19. She has achieved that total by scoring for both FDU-Florham and Saint Peter's.
  • Williams ranks fifth amongst the active career scoring leaders in the country.
  • She is ranked seventh amongst the active career three-point field goal leaders in the NCAA.

Some Like it Hot

  • Niagara enters this game winning five out of their last six games, including a win over second place Manhattan.
  • Saint Peter's enters having won four straight at home. The streak dates back to January, as they have beaten Marist, Siena, Rider, and Monmouth in Run Baby Run Arena.
  • This will be Niagara's first trip to Jersey City since February of 2020. Niagara won that game 68-64.

Stuck In the Middle

  • The Peacocks currently sit sixth in the MAAC standings with just two weeks left in the season. They have a 8-8 record in conference.
  • The team sits behind Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Manhattan, Monmouth, and Niagara. Saint Peter's has a 2-6 record combined against those teams, including a win over Monmouth last time out.
  • The Peacocks are 6-2 against teams below them in the conference standings.
  • Conference standings for both men and women will return to overall MAAC wins this season and will not be based on MAAC winning percentage.
