FAIRFIELD, C.T. (March 22, 2022) - The Saint Peter's university softball team lost to Sacred Heart University 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

- After Smith reached base with a leadoff hit, she was brought home by Skakal on an RBI single to put the Peacocks on the board in the first.
- Colon got out of a bases-loaded jam in the second inning.
- Sacred Heart scored twice in the third.
- The Pioneers tacked on another run in the fourth.
- Sacred Heart was able to strike again in the sixth.

- We had them on the ropes early and we were one big hit away from blowing things open. We played fantastic defense again but ran into some pretty good pitching.
- We are looking forward to getting into conference play soon.
