EDISON, N.J. (Apr. 26, 2022) - Coming off of her stellar performance this past Friday at the Jersey Relays, freshman Diamond McLaughlin has been named the Hercules Tires Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Track Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
McLaughlin was able to capture three gold medals at the Jersey Relays. She captured her first victory of the day in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:01.93. This time now sets a new collegiate best mark for McLaughlin in the event and serves as an IC4A/ECAC qualifying time. The next two victories came by way of the relays in the 4x200 and the 4x400. McLaughlin ran the final leg of the 4x200, sealing the victory with a time of 1:44.03 for the team. In the 4x400, she ran the second leg, helping pace the Peacocks to another gold medal with a time of 3:55.07.
