EDISON, N.J. (May 10, 2022) - The Saint Peter's University softball program added another set of accolades to its historic season as they had a program record 16 student-athletes selected to the Academic All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference team, the most of any program in the league, the MAAC announced Tuesday.
Kristen Brennan, Christina Colon, Brandi Feeney, Courtney Fraher, Anja Solveig Kane, Kourtney Ketcham, Cara McNulty, Samantha Miller, Marissa Morales, Kaitlynn Peters, Taylor Rondon, Katie Sciglimpaglia, Sydney Senerchia, Maiah Skakal, Olyvia Smith and Sophie Wilson all earned the distinction after stellar performances in the classroom.
Senerchia and Solveig Kane earned the accolade for the third time in their careers while Brennan, Feeney, Fraher, McNulty, Miller, Morales, Rondon, Sciglimpaglia and Smith picked up the award for the second time.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. The Peacocks placed a league-leading 16 student-athletes on this year's All-Academic Team, followed by Iona College and Manhattan College who each earned 14 spots on this year's team.
