First Pitch
- The Saint Peter's University softball team returns to action as they close out their non-conference schedule with a Tuesday matchup against Howard before taking on Manhattan in Riverdale in the final MAAC road contest of the year.
- The Peacocks head into the contest after going 1-3 over the weekend, earning their first win over Niagara since 2014 on Saturday.
- The Bison are coming off a three-game sweep of Delaware State over the weekend and have won four straight. The Jaspers, meanwhile, earned a doubleheader split with Niagara last time out but are 1-5 in their last six contests.
Looking Back at Canisius
- Facing off against the team at the top of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings Sunday, the Peacocks were unable to grab a victory as they fell 10-1 in game one and 6-3 in game two on the road at Canisius.
- Dakota Pitts was phenomenal throughout the day for the Peacocks, going 2 for 2 in game one and 3 for 3 with an RBI and a triple in game two to finish the doubleheader with a perfect day at the plate.
- Aubrey Ketcham continued to swing a hot bat in MAAC play as she produced a single hit in both games, combining to go 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored.
- Sophie Wilson and Maiah Skakal also had a hit in both games as they combined to go 4 for 9 with a double and two runs scored.
- Samantha Miller had another RBI base hit in game two finishing the contest 1 for 3 with a double.
- Kristen Brennan came on in relief in the circle in game one and allowed just one hit over 1.2 innings with a strikeout.
- Christina Colon was also strong out of the bullpen for the Peacocks as she faced the minimum over the final 2.0 innings in game two with three punchouts.
Inside the Numbers
- McNulty is the team-leader in batting average hitting .338 and has hit safely in 11 of her last 16 games. She currently ranks inside the top-10 in the MAAC in hits and RBIs.
- Ketcham has been fantastic at the plate in MAAC contests this season, hitting .387 in league games with a team-best six runs scored while producing a .487 on-base percentage.
- Katie Sciglimpaglia has been one of the toughest players to strike out in Division I this season with only 10 punchouts in 138 at-bats. Her strikeout ratio of 13.8 ranks fourth in the MAAC and 98th in the country this season.Â
- In the circle, Sydney Senerchia and Kristen Brennan lead the team with a 4.22 ERA on the season. Senerchia is joined by Kasidy Slusser and Nicole Antuna with at least four wins marking the first time since at least 2007 that three different players registered at least four victories for the Peacocks.
- SPU has been dynamite defensively this season ranking second in the MAAC and 61st in the country with a .968 fielding percentage on the year.
- As a team, the Peacocks have now hit 14 home runs this season to top their total from the entirety of the 2021 and 2020 seasons.
- SPU will head into Tuesday's doubleheader with 18 wins, the most victories since recording 22 in the 2007 season.

- After the midweek matchups, the Peacocks will play at home for the final weekend of the season with doubleheaders against Marist on Saturday and Iona on Sunday.
- Prior to the contest against Iona, SPU will honor seniors Marissa Morales, Taylor Rondon, Katie Sciglimpagalia, Sydney Senerchia and Anja Solveig Kane for their contributions to Peacock softball.
