HAMDEN, C.T. – The Saint Peter's University baseball team split a doubleheader with Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon. The games were home games for the Peacocks, but they were played at Quinnipiac.

How It Happened
- With the bases loaded in the bottom of the first, junior infielder Jeff Massicotte took a walk to score freshman infielder Tyler Smith. Junior catcher Michael Cardone followed that at bat with an RBI single. Senior outfielder Anthony Abbatine would also earn an RBI in the inning after a catcher's interference. Saint Peter's would tack on an unearned run to cap off a big first inning.
- Quinnipiac scored one run in the second.
- Cardone hit another RBI single in the second to bring home sophomore outfielder Collin Jensen. Abbatine followed Cardone's at bat with an RBI single of his own, scoring junior infielder Sam Haney.
- The Bobcats scored one run in the third.
- Haney hit an RBI double into left field to score graduate outfielder Tom Buckman in the sixth.
- Quinnipiac scored one run in the eighth.
- Jensen singled in the eighth to score Buckman.
Notes
- Sophomore pitcher Kyle Mahady pitched a complete game while only allowing three earned runs to earn his second win of the season. He had one strikeout.
- Jensen and Haney each recorded two hits, one RBI, and scored two runs.
- Cardone and Abbatine each had two hits and two RBIs.
- Buckman recorded two hits and scored twice.
- Smith scored one run and had a hit.
- Massicotte scored once and batted in a run.

- The Peacocks scored via an error in the fifth.
- The Bobcats scored five runs in the seventh. They would add another run in the eighth.
- Abbatine scored one run in the eighth to cut the deficit.
