POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- The Saint Peter's University men's soccer team lost to Marist 4-0 on Wednesday night.
Game Notes
- Graduate goalkeeper Guillem Badenes Mecho made the first save of the game in the 7th minute.
- Marist took the lead in the 17th minute.
- The first half ended very physically, with four yellow cards being issued over the last ten minutes. The score would remain 1-0 in favor of Marist.
- The Red Foxes scored a minute into the second half to double their lead.
- Marist scored again in the 52nd minute.
- The Red Foxes would make it 4-0 in the 73rd minute.
- Freshman forward Tim Strele had the lone Peacock shot on target in the game which cae in the 83rd minute. His attempt was saved.
- The score finished 4-0 Red Foxes.
Inside the Numbers
- The Peacocks registered six shots. Strele, sophomore defender Dan Blackmore, fifth year forward Matt Hoyt, freshman midfielder Reiss Skeen, sophomore forward Mikkel Fodstad, and graduate midfielder Brian Carvalhoso each had one.
- Strele's shot was the only Peacock shot on target in the contest.
- Badenes Mecho made three saves.
- Hoyt, senior midfielder Fabian Schmid, and freshman forward Teodor Linn were issued yellow cards.
