JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's University women's basketball team announced its 2022-23 schedule on Thursday morning. The full schedule features nine non-conference games and 20 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) contests. The Peacocks will play home at Run Baby Run Arena 12 times this year, while also taking to the road 19 times.
The season kicks off with the Peacocks traveling to face Seton Hall (Monday, Nov. 7) in nearby South Orange, NJ. The Peacocks then head to Fordham (Thursday, Nov. 10) three days later to complete their first week of the season.
Saint Peter's continues the season on the road by taking a trip to Maryland to take on both Morgan State (Friday, Nov. 18) and Coppin State (Sunday, Nov. 20). They then head into the Thanksgiving break following a visit to Central Connecticut State University (Wednesday, Nov. 23).
The road stretch continues for the Peacocks to start December, as they open the month on the road in Staten Island to take on Wagner (Thursday, Dec. 1). Saint Peter's will play their first home contest of the season against Hampton (Wednesday, Dec. 7) and will play their final home non-conference match against NJIT (Saturday, Dec. 10). The team closes out non-conference play on the road against UMASS (Wednesday. Dec. 21).
MAAC play kicks off in December for the Peacocks as they host their first three conference clashes. They start with the defending MAAC Champions Fairfield (Saturday, Dec. 17), and close out December with Quinnipiac (Thursday, Dec. 29) and Rider (Saturday, Dec. 31).
As the New Year rolls around, the Peacocks head up north for their annual Buffalo trip, taking on both Canisius (Thursday, Jan. 5) and Niagara (Saturday, Jan. 7). They then make a quick pit stop back in Jersey City as they host Marist (Thursday, Jan. 12) before heading back out on the road for two straight road games against Siena (Saturday, Jan. 14) and Quinnipiac (Thursday, Jan. 19). The Peacocks then host the newest edition to the conference, Mount St. Mary's (Saturday, Jan. 21). Saint Peter's finishes the January slate with Iona (Thursday, Jan. 26) and Marist (Saturday, Jan. 28) on the road.
The shortest month of the year starts with a home contest for the Peacocks, as they host the Siena Saints (Thursday, Feb. 2). Following that, they visit Manhattan (Saturday, Feb. 4), for the first time this campaign. Niagara (Thursday, Feb. 9) comes to town following that. The Peacocks then play back-to-back road games against Mount. St. Mary's (Saturday, Feb. 11) and Rider (Thursday, Feb. 16). The month closes out with Manhattan (Saturday, Feb. 18) and Canisius (Thursday, Feb. 23) at Run Baby Run Arena.
The Peacocks close out the regular season in March, playing two contests. They travel up to Fairfield (Thursday, Mar. 2) before returning home to take on the Iona Gaels (Saturday, Mar. 4)
