The Peacocks are off to a 3-6, currently taking wins over Marist, CCSU and LIU. All wins have come by double-digits.
In the Peacocks' home opener, Freshman forward Fatmata Janneh scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for her first-career double-double. SPU (1-4) won their home opener against CCSU 61-57 on Monday, Nov. 13th.
Janneh has showcased consistent performance, maintaining her season-long trend of opening up the game. Within the initial five minutes of the first half against Marist, she secured an impressive six points. Her stellar play continued, culminating in her fourth double-double of her career, registering 14 points and 17 rebounds by the end of the game.
Graduate Student forward Maria Fux displayed remarkable efficiency during the Marist game, nailing 2-of-3 shots from beyond the three-point arc and tallying nine points. Just before the conclusion of the third quarter, she drained a pivotal 3-pointer, granting the Peacocks a commanding 10-point lead that they maintained until the game's end.
About Niagara
The Niagara Women's Basketball team enters the game with a record of 4-6. The Purple Eagles victories came earlier in the season against Mercyhurst, St. Bonaventure, Stonehill, Radford and Iona.

This is the seventy-ninth matchup in history between the Purple Eagles and the Peacocks. The all-time series is 48-31 in favor of the Peacocks.
