JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's Men's Basketball team (5-5, 2-0 MAAC) looks for its third consecutive win at Bucknell (3-9) at Sojka Pavilion on Saturday.
Overview
The Peacocks are currently on a two-game winning streak. Saint Peter's defeated UMBC 66-60 on Dec. 12 and, most recently, Kean on Dec. 22.
In SPU's 73-70 victory over Kean, Corey Washington led the Peacocks with his second career double-double. Washington scored a career-high 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds along with four steals, one block, and one assist. Washington shot an efficient 8-12 from the field and 2-3 (66%) from three-point range. Latrell Reid scored 15 points and distributed a team-high six assists. Additionally, Armoni Zeigler made his first career start for the Peacocks and scored nine points.
Washington leads the Peacocks with 12 points per game this season. Michael Houge is averaging 10.7 points per game and a team-high 6.6 rebounds per game. SPU has displayed depth as its bench has outscored its opponents 260-149. The Peacocks are currently second in the MAAC in defense (64.6 points per game). On the boards, the Peacocks are tied for 32nd in the nation in offensive rebounds per game (13.5 rpg).
Bucknell (3-9) is coming off a 68-52 loss against Merrimack on Dec. 22. The Bisons are led by Jack Forrest who is averaging 16.1 points per game this season.

Saint Peter's is 1-1 versus Bucknell all-time. SPU won the last meeting between these two programs 82-71 (11/15/22).
