Jersey City, N.J.- Saint Peter's University Athletics has named
Joseph Ubil as the new head golf coach for the 2023-2024 season.
Ubil comes to Jersey City with more than 10 years of coaching experience. Most recently, Ubil served as the head men's and women's golf coach at Middlesex College in Edison, N.J. He served in that role from 2018 to 2022. In addition to his collegiate coaching background, he worked as an assistant golf professional and lead first tee master coach at the Plainfield Country Club.
His involvement in golf also includes managing pro shop reservations and coaching in PGA academies and programs. As a golfer, Ubil has won several championships, which include two individual and team championships at the Mercedes-Benz North New Jersey Sectional.Â
The New Jersey native is a graduate of Madison HS (NJ), a graduate of Morris County College (NJ) with an AS in Finance & holds a BA in Marketing/Administration from Columbia College, Chicago, Ill.
Ubil is set to make his debut as Saint Peter's Golf's head coach at the Binghamton 2023 Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational in Apalachin, N.Y., from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. Saint Peter's will have four matches in September and October.Â
