ABOUT SAINT PETER'S
The Peacocks are off to a 4-8 start, currently holding wins over Marist, CCSU, Hampton, and LIU. All wins have come by double-digits. With 159 points this season, sophomore guard Jada Leonard leads the Peacocks in scoring. With 101 rebounds overall, rookie Fatmata Janneh leads the team in rebounds.
In the Peacocks' previous game against Canisius, graduate student Mikia Keith started strong for the squad with four quick points in a minute and ten seconds. Senior guard Rachel Kuhl demonstrated her skill on the court by making two consecutive three-pointers in the third quarter, while Freshman Fatmata Janneh demonstrated her effectiveness from beyond the three-point arc.
Senior guard Rachel Kuhl and sophomore guard Jada Leonard both scored in double figures for the Peacocks against Canisius, with a combined total of 12 points.
ABOUT MANHATTAN
The Manhattan Women's Basketball team enters the game with a record of 9-4. They are currently 2-2 in the MAAC.
Manhattan junior Nitzan Amar leads the squad in scoring per game with 11.2. At 9.6 points per game, Anne Bair comes in second and Petra Juric averages 8.2 rebounds per game, including two double-doubles.
THE SERIES
This is the 41st matchup in history between the Jaspers and the Peacocks. The all-time series is 33-7 in favor of the Jaspers.
