JERSEY CITY, NJ- The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has named Saint Peter's volleyball freshman outside hitter Valeria Pagan Munoz as the Jersey Mike's Rookie of the Week.
Saint Peter's freshman Valeria Pagan Munoz has been named the MAAC Rookie of the Week following her stellar performances in matches against Siena and Marist.
Pagan Munoz showcased her all-around talent throughout the weekend. In the match against Siena, she led the team with 11 kills, hitting .231, while adding seven digs and contributing 12 total points. She followed up with a career-best performance against Marist, recording a season-high 12 kills and 13 digs for her first collegiate double-double. She added 13.5 points in the match (season-high), hitting .286 on the day and .259 for the weekend.
Pagan Munoz will look to continue her impressive play tonight as she helps the Peacocks host LIU at 6 p.m. at Run Baby Run Arena.
