JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's Swimming & Diving defeated Manhattan University in both men's and women's competitions on Saturday afternoon at the Eugene & Teresa Imperatore Swimming & Diving Center.
The men's team defeated Manhattan, 169-65. The women's team bested Manhattan, 136-98. This was the first time in two years that the women's team won as part of a dual meet with the men's team.
Victor Fuentes led the way for the men's side with two relay wins and a first-place finish in the Men's 100-yard breaststroke heat.
On the women's side,
Paige Austin-Burrows dominated with wins in the Women's 200-yard butterfly heat and 200-yard backstroke heat. She also paced the Peacocks in the Women's 400-yard freestyle relay heat.
Austin Arnold had a first-place result in the Men's 200-yard IM race. Arnold clocked in at a time of 2:02.96. The men's side also had a first-place relay finish in the Men's 400-yard freestyle relay.
Aleksa Vujosevic, Arnold,
Kenale Alleyne, and
Juan Nunez were part of that relay team.
