JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's Softball team travels to UMBC for a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 16.
UMBC will open its season with the Peacocks. The Retrievers were voted first in the American East preseason coaches poll. UMBC went 26-16 and won the American East Championship last season. The Peacocks opened up their season at Central Connecticut State on Saturday, Feb. 10. Saint Peter's (0-2) dropped game one 4-3 and the second game 8-0.
Cara McNulty hit a three-run RBI double last week for the Peacocks. The Preseason All-MAAC honoree went 2-6 (.333) at the plate and hit two doubles last weekend. SPU junior Dakota Pitts is on the brink of a milestone. Pitts is three hits away from her 100 hit.

The first game is scheduled at 2 PM and the second at 4 PM. The games this weekend can be streamed on American East TV.
