Women's Basketball Takes on Siena Saturday DURING THEIR AUTISM AWARENESS AND ALUMNI GAME

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's Women's Basketball team returns home to Run Baby Run Arena where the squad faces the Siena Saints.  Tip-off scheduled for 2pm. Fans can follow the action live on ESPN+.

ABOUT SAINT PETER'S

In the Peacocks' last game against Rider, Saint Peter's fell short to the Broncs 59-48. The Peacocks had three scorers that came in double-digits. Sophomore guard Jada Leonard tacked on 17 points to the squad. Graduate guard Mikia Keith and freshman forward Fatmata Janneh both contributed 11 points to the board. 

Sophomore Jada Leonard currently leads the team in points, averaging 12.4 per game, while contributing 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.2 steals per contest. Leonard has a total of 268 points so far this season. 

Freshman forward Fatmata Janneh leads the squad in rebounds with an average of 7.3 per game. She is second on the team in scoring, averaging 9.8 per contest. Senior guard Rachel Kuhl leads the Peacocks with 33 three-pointers this season. 

This season, the team has already reached a number of significant milestones. Against Niagara, freshman center Carys Roy scored 26 points, setting a new season and career best. 

Leonard led the team in scoring with 24 points against Rider, shooting 8 of 19 from the field and racking up five steals. .

Kuhl netted a season high with 24 to help pace Saint Peter's to a 61-55 home win against Manhattan. 

Janneh led the Peacocks in scoring against Iona with 28 points, going 5-of-9 from beyond the three-point arc. For Janneh, this was also a new high in her career. This season, Fatmata Janneh has recorded eight double-doubles. 

ABOUT SIENA
The Siena Women's Basketball team enters the game with a record of 13-11, They are currently 10-6 in the MAAC. 

In their last game against Fairfield, sophomore guard Teresa Seppala secured a career-high 29 points, including four threes and nine field goals. Sophomore guard Elisa Mevius finished with 16 points and seven rebounds to become the first Saint to ever surpass 100 thefts in a single season. After forcing 22 turnovers from Fairfield, Siena scored 26 points, but their 36.7 percent shooting from the field put an end to a 12-game run in which they had shot 40 percent or better. 

Seppala leads the team in points per game with an average of 13.0.  Junior Anajah Brown, leads the team in rebounds, averaging 7.4 per game.

THE SERIES
This is the 81st matchup in history between the Broncs and the Peacocks since 1980-81. The Saints lead the series 45-35.

UP NEXT
Following this game, the Peacocks are set to travel to Poughkeepsie New York, where the squad faces Marist on Saturday, March 2nd. Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm.
