JERSEY CITY, NJ. - The Saint Peter's Men's Basketball team was selected as the No. 15 seed in the Midwest Region during Selection Sunday. The Peacocks are set for the 2024 NCAA March Madness Tournament.
On Saturday, Mar. 16, the Peacocks defeated Fairfield 68-63, and captured the 2024 MAAC Tournament Championship.
The Peacocks punched their ticket Saturday night when they defeated Fairfield 68-63 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. No. 15 Saint Peter's will travel to the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, to face No. 2 Tennessee (24-8, 14-4 SEC) on Thursday, March 21. The game time and channel are yet to be determined.
The last time the Peacocks were in the NCAA March Madness Tournament, they became the first 15-seed to advance to the Elite Eight round in the 2022 March Madness Tournament. Saint Peter's is 1-0 all-time against SEC schools in the NCAA March Madness Tournament (Kentucky, 85-79, Mar. 17, 2022).
