Women's Basketball Host #25 Fairfield At Home For Senior Day Thursday

 JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's Women's Basketball team returns home to Run Baby Run Arena where the squad faces the #25 Fairfield Stags. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm. Fans can follow the action live on ESPN+.

ABOUT SAINT PETER'S

In the Peacocks' last game against Marist, Saint Peter's defeated the Red Foxes 58-57 in overtime. Freshman forward Fatmata Janneh led the squad with 24 points and 15 rebounds securing her ninth double-double this season. Graduate guard Mikia Keith tacked on 10 points and shot 3-of-8 from the floor. The squad had 44 rebounds and 15 steals. 

Leonard currently leads the team in points, averaging 12.6 per game, while contributing 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.2 steals per contest. Leonard has a total of 309 points so far this season. 

Freshman forward Fatmata Janneh leads the Peacocks in rebounds with an average of 8.0 per game. She is second on the team in scoring, averaging 10.3 per contest. Senior guard Rachel Kuhl leads the Peacocks with 36 three-pointers this season. 

This season, the team has already reached a number of significant milestones. Against Niagara, Roy scored 26 points, setting a new season and career best.  Roy is currently ranked 8th in the MAAC in blocks.

Leonard achieved a new career high against Hampton, tacking on 25 points. Leonard led the team in scoring with 24 points against Rider, shooting 8 of 19 from the field and racking up five steals. She is currently ranked 9th in scoring and 4th in steals for the MAAC. 

Kuhl netted a season high with 24 to help pace Saint Peter's to a 61-55 home win against Manhattan. 

Janneh led the Peacocks in scoring against Iona with 28 points, going 5-of-9 from beyond the three-point arc. For Janneh, this was also a new high in her career. This season, Janneh has recorded eight double-doubles. She is ranked 4th in rebounds for the MAAC. 

ABOUT FAIRFIELD
The Fairfield Women's Basketball team enters the game with a record of 26-1, They are currently 18-0 in the MAAC. The Stags are currently ranked 25th in the Associated Press Top-25 National poll. 

The Fairfield University women's basketball team defeated Manhattan 77-53 on the road to extend the nation's second-longest winning run to 24 games. Four Stags scored in double figures. With 20 points, freshman guard Kaety L'Amoreaux led all scorers, and senior guard Janelle Brown spearheaded the passing effort with 10 assists, including her 250th of the year. In addition, Fairfield broke the program record for most wins in a season with its 26th victory of the year. 

Freshman Meghan Andersen received her 11th MAAC Rookie of the Week title on March 4th. Andersen currently leads the team in points and rebounds per game. She  averages 16.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. 

THE SERIES
This is the 96th matchup in history between the Stags and the Peacocks since 1976-77. The Stags lead the series 55-40.

Following this game, the Peacocks travel to Emmitsburg, Maryland where the squad faces Mount St. Marys. Tip-off is scheduled for 1pm.
