SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Saint Peter's softball team dropped its nonconference doubleheader at Le Moyne (12-26, 3-8 NEC) on Wednesday.

Game One - Le Moyne - 1 | Saint Peter's - 0
- The opening game of Wednesday's doubleheader was a pitcher's duel.
- Saint Peter's Kristen Brennan pitched six innings and struck out two batters. Brennan has notched 26 strikeouts this season.
- Le Moyne pitcher Laura Bennett pitched a complete game shutout and struck out five batters.
- The Peacocks tallied seven hits in the game and left six on base.
- At the plate, Saint Peter's freshman Zailees Seda and junior Jess Forte each went 2-3 (.666).
- The Dolphins scored a run on an obstruction call in the bottom of the sixth inning. Le Moyne's Sydney Nesci hit a single to left field and recorded the game-winning RBI.
Game Two - Le Moyne - 9 | Saint Peter's - 1 (Five Innings).
- The Dolphins scored three runs in the first and second innings. Le Moyne's Frankie Larobardiere hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first.
- Larobardiere finished the game 3-3 with one home run and five RBIs.
- Saint Peter's scored one run in the top of the third inning. Maiah Skakal started the inning off with a single up the middle. The next batter, Cara McNulty, walked. Skakal scored on a fielding error from Le Moyne and SPU trailed 6-1.
- Le Moyne added one run in the bottom of the fourth inning from an RBI double from Larobardiere.
- LMC's Alexandra Chesney put the finishing touches on the game with a two-RBI single, which sealed the game at 9-1.
- The Peacocks left five runners on base.
Up next, the Peacocks travel to Emmitsburg, MD, for a three-game series at Mount St. Mary's (9-23, 2-9 MAAC) this weekend. On Saturday, Apr. 20, the Peacocks will take on the Mountaineers in a doubleheader that starts at noon. Sunday's game will start at noon.
