Wichita, Kan.- Saint Peter's Baseball junior catcher
Tyler Cotten was named to the 2024 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List.
In 25 games played this season, Cotten has produced at the plate with a .364 batting average, 10 home runs, 29 RBIs, 32 hits, and an on-base percentage of .463. Cotten is tied for the single-season home run record for Saint Peter's.
The watch list featured 63 student-athletes from Division-I programs around the United States. The award selects the best catcher in college baseball and the award is voted on by head coaches from around the country. The Wichita Sports Commission organizes this watch list and award each year and announces the award timeline.
Nominations for the award will close on May 8 and the winner will be announced on June 26 at the Greater Wichita Sports Banquet.
