JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Saint Peter's University head baseball coach TJ Ward announced the captains for the upcoming 2026 season this week. The three returners Kurt Thomas, Logan Wenzel, and Luke Schwartz will represent the team as captains.
Thomas is a junior redshirt right-handed pitcher from Harwich, MA, who played in 10 games for the Peacocks, starting in 5 of them. He recorded 7 strikeouts in 17 innings. Kurt also earned MAAC All-Academic honors team.
Schwartz is a Junior who plays the outfield and pitches from Richmond,VA he played in 26 games for the team, starting in 7 of them, and made 3 appearances on the mound. Schwartz recorded 20 putouts and two assists in the outfield.
Wenzel, the sophomore left-handed pitcher from Middletown,CT did not play in the 2025 season due to injury.
The 2026 schedule will be announced within the coming weeks.
