LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Saint Peter's Softball team (15-32, 5-16 MAAC) dropped its series finale against the Siena Saint (27-19, 10-10 MAAC) 8-3 at Siena Softball Field on Sunday.

Jess Forte batted .666 (2-3) with two runs scored, one home run, and one RBI.

In the top of the first inning, the Peacocks scored two runs. Cara McNulty hit a double to left field, followed by a single by Forte. Dakota Pitts hit a two RBI double to left field and the Peacocks led 2-0.

Siena's Mikala Fletcher tripled and tied the game up at 2-2 in the bottom of the second inning. Siena's Ashley Giampolo hit an RBI single to right field and gave the Saints a 3-2 advantage.

The Saints scored eight unanswered runs and tallied 11 hits in the game. A sacrifice fly from Fletcher in the bottom of the third inning extended Siena's lead to 5-2. Fletcher finished the game 1-2 with one run scored and three RBIs.

Siena pitcher Alissa Elmont picked up the win (6.0 IP, six hits, three earned runs, and six strikeouts.

Forte recorded her tenth home run of the year in the top of the sixth inning. Forte's solo shot to left field was SPU's final run of the game.
The Peacocks will close out the regular season with seven games this week. Saint Peter's travels for a pair of weekday doubleheaders. SPU faces Wagner on Tuesday, Apr. 30, and FDU on Wednesday, May. 1. This weekend the Peacocks square off against Iona in a three-game series at Jaroschak Field from Saturday, May. 4 - Sunday, May. 5.
