JERSEY CITY, N.J. - Saint Peter's student-athletes Ashby Vining and
Diamond McLaughlin were named the Peacocks of the Month for their performances in April.
Ashby Vining put together an impressive April at the plate. The South Carolina native produced 26 hits, with six home runs, and 21 RBIs. The Saint Peter's standout is currently tied with Tyler Cotten for the single-season home run record with 10 each. In the Peacocks' series sweep over Manhattan (Apr. 6-7), Vining collectively went 6-11, with four runs scored, and six RBIs. The SPU junior batted .472 in April and is batting .323 for the season.
The Peacocks host Canisius this weekend (May. 3-5) at Jaroschak Field.
Saint Peter's Track & Field's
Diamond McLaughlin won events at the Metropolitan Championships (Apr. 6) and at the Penn Relays (Apr. 26-27). The SPU junior won the women's 400-meter hurdles event in 1:06.48 at the Metropolitan Championships at Icahn Stadium in Randalls Island, New York. At the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, McLaughlin was a member of the women's 4x400 relay team that won the event. The Saint Peter's group of McLaughlin,

Mikayla Surles won the women's 4x400 relay in 3:58.52.
The Saint Peter's Track & Field team will travel to Lawrenceville, New Jersey, for the 2024 MAAC Track & Field Championships on May. 4-5.
