JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's men's soccer team (4-9-2, 2-6-1 MAAC) takes on Marist (7-4-4, 3-4-2 MAAC) at Jaroschak Field on Wednesday as the Peacocks hold their Senior Day ceremony prior to the final game of the regular season. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
The Peacocks are honoring eight seniors on Wednesday, including
Tim Strele,
Micah O'Garro,
Adam Holt,
John Hallgren,
Oliver Alaviuhkola,
Guilherme Melchiori,
Omre Etienne and
Lex Vaughan.
All eight have contributed greatly to establishing a strong team culture at Saint Peter's, both on and off the pitch. They are ready to put on the Peacocks' blue and white one more time this season as they take on the Red Foxes.
ABOUT THE MARIST RED FOXES
The Red Foxes sit in eighth place in the MAAC, fighting with Niagara, Manhattan and Quinnipiac for one of the final two playoff spots. They most recently tied Manhattan, 1-1, in their last game after falling to Siena, 1-3, last week.
Marist is led by Kyle Evans and Gijs Verheul, who have each scored six goals apiece this year. The goalkeeper Jamie Lowell boasts a 7-4-4 record this season while racking up 44 total saves and three shutouts.
Marist is coached by Matt Viggiano, who is in his 19th season as head coach of the Red Foxes.
