WASHINGTON – The Saint Peter's men's basketball team (4-4) travels down to McDonough Arena this weekend to play Georgetown (6-3) for the first time since 1980. The game is scheduled to tip off at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
The Peacocks are coming off a 2-0 weekend in conference play, defeating Canisius and Niagara.
Bryce Eaton and
TJ Robinson led the way in both contests, dropping 14 points each game. The defense held its opponents to 50.0 points per outing.
This will be one of Saint Peter's final two nonconference games of the season. The Peacocks will then take on Centenary (N.J.) on Monday, Dec. 22 at 12 p.m.
ABOUT THE GEORGETOWN HOYAS
The Hoyas started the season 5-0 before losing three of their last four games. Georgetown defeated Morgan State, Maryland, Binghamton, Clemson, Wagner and UMBC while falling to Dayton, Miami and North Carolina.
The Hoyas lead the Big East in assist/turnover ratio (1.92) and rank second in the conference in turnover margin (+4.33). Georgetown is shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from 3-point range.
Georgetown is coached by Ed Cooley, who is in his third season as head coach of the Hoyas.

This will be the 21st meeting all-time between Saint Peter's and Georgetown. The last time the two teams met was on Jan. 16, 1980. The Peacocks are 6-14 vs. the Hoyas overall and 2-5 against them on the road. The last time Saint Peter's defeated Georgetown was a 63-61 victory on Feb. 14, 1976.
