FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Saint Peter's men's basketball team continues MAAC play against Fairfield on Monday at Leo D. Mahoney Arena for its first road conference game of the season. The Peacocks played the Stags just once last season and defeated them 65-52 at home.
Both teams have jumped off to very different starts to conference play, with the Peacocks (5-5, 2-0 MAAC) taking down Canisius and Niagara while the Stags (8-5, 0-2 MAAC) fell to Manhattan and Merrimack. This will be Saint Peter's first MAAC game on the road and Fairfield's first MAAC game at home.
In Saint Peter's final nonconference game against Centenary, the team broke multiple records, including setting the largest margin of victory in program history. The Peacocks had seven players score in double figures while the squad as a whole totaled a season-high 27 assists. Saint Peter's will look to ride that momentum into their first appearance at Leo D. Mahoney Arena in nearly two years.
