JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Saint Peter's Softball lost both games to Rider University in a doubleheader at Jaroschak Field on Friday.
Game One Recap
The opening game fell away from Saint Peter's by a score of 15-6. The Peacocks finished the game with eight hits at the plate.
Tai Turner scored the Peacocks' first run of the afternoon with an infield single to shortstop for an RBI.
Dakota Pitts added three more runs for the Peacocks in the bottom of the third inning with a three-RBI double.
The Broncs put up enough runs to keep the Peacocks at a safe distance. On the day, Pitts finished with five RBIs.
Game Two Recap
While Rider did not have as explosive of a second game as game one, it was a dominant performance for the Broncs. Rider held it together for a 6-0 shutout win over Saint Peter's. In the circle,
Brielle Coppola received the loss for the Peacocks.
Ashley Murphy led the Peacocks with two hits.
Friday's pair of losses sent the team's season record to 9-26 and 1-14 in conference play.
