JERSEY CITY, N.J. – The Saint Peter's University volleyball program announced its 2025 schedule on Tuesday with the Peacocks set to play 11 non-conference games followed by an 18-game MAAC schedule.
"Heading into this season, I'm excited for the growth, the grit and the moments we'll share as a team," head coach
Fernando Colon stated. "My expectation is that we show up every day for each other, stay committed to the process and lean into the tough moments that make us stronger."
Competing in two tournaments during non-conference play, the Peacocks are going to need to show that grit and commitment Colon mentioned early in the season. SPU is scheduled to participate in the Holly Young Invitational to open the 2025 campaign, and the Delaware Invitational later in September.
Conference play then begins on Sept. 26 when the Peacocks take on Siena on the road.
Saint Peter's finished 10th in the MAAC last season with an overall record of 6-19 (4-14 MAAC). Despite the final rankings, the Peacocks saw great improvement last season compared to previous years.
"I believe in this group, and I'm looking forward to seeing how far we can go together," Colon added.
The 2025 MAAC Volleyball Championship is a six-team, single-elimination championship taking place November 18-24, 2025. The first round will be hosted by the #3 and #4 seeds. The semifinal round and championship final will be hosted by the #1 seed. The semifinals can be played between November 21-23 and the championship final can be played between November 22-24.
