LOUDONVILLE, NY- Peacocks equalized at Hickey Field as they faced Siena on Saturday afternoon.
Saint Peter's recorded 11 shots, with eight on target, and nine saves, with Connall McErlain and Marcos De Elias scoring three goals total to help the Peacocks draw.
HOW IT HAPPENED-
FIRST HALF-
Siena started off the half with a corner kick within the opening minutes, with Saint Peter's responding on the counterattack with Davis Barnes getting a shot off that would go out right.
The Saint Bernards would respond back with a shot of their own that would go bottom left that was saved by Sebastian Heredia-Randen.
SPU would strike first with a goal from McErlain in the 25th minute following an assist from Jesus Pila; Siena would respond right back with a goal of their own.
Saint Bernard's would go for a brace as they scored again in the 35th minute. Saint Peter's attempted to apply pressure towards the end of the half with a counterattack, with De Elias and McErlain attempting shots, with De Elias's shot going bottom center and McErlain's shot going out right.
SECOND HALF-
The Peacocks would tie early with Siena with a shot from De Elias; following the goal, Darrell Etienne would try to give SPU the lead with a shot that would go out right.
Soon after, McErlain would be given a penalty kick that reached the back of the net to give the Peacocks the lead at 3-2.
In the 79th minute, Siena would be given a penalty, which was saved by Heredia-Randen.
The Saint Bernards equalized in the 81st minute to make it 3-3. Towards the end of the match, Siena would try one last attempt to take the lead with a shot that would go bottom right that would be saved by Heredia-Randen.
