Saint Peter’s To Honor Three Seniors At Last Home Game Vs. Manhattan

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - The Saint Peter's men's basketball team (15-11, 12-6 MAAC) looks to bounce back against Manhattan (12-17, 8-10 MAAC) Friday night at Run Baby Run Arena following two tough outcomes on the road. The Peacocks are going to honor Zaakir Williamson, Eric Morgan Jr. and J'Quan Ewing prior to the 7 p.m. ET tip off as part of the Senior Night ceremony.

Williamson and Morgan Jr. both joined the Peacocks before the 2024-25 season, while Ewing came to Jersey City this past summer. This year, Williamson is averaging 8.9 points and five rebounds per game. Morgan Jr. is playing 11.3 minutes per game, and his season high in points came against Centenary (N.J.) and Merrimack when he scored 14. Ewing has missed some time this season due to an injury, but his best performance was against VCU when he had eight points, five rebounds, one block and three steals.

The Peacocks are in a tight race with Siena for second place in the MAAC as both teams share the same conference record with two games left to play. Saint Peter's would hold the tiebreaker over Siena if both teams were to finish with the same conference record.

ABOUT THE MANHATTAN JASPERS
The Jaspers currently sit in ninth place in the MAAC, tied with Iona with just two games remaining on the schedule. They have won three of their last four games, but are most recently coming off a 70-84 loss to Marist. The first time Saint Peter's and Manhattan met this season, the Peacocks secured a five-point victory at Draddy Gymnasium. The Jaspers face a challenge traveling to Jersey City this time around as they are 3-11 on the road this year.

The Jaspers are led by 6-0 junior guard Jaden Winston, who has made his impact felt all year. He averages 15.7 points, 3.8 assists and three rebounds per game. Winston's season-high in points came against USC when he dropped 29. It was, Fraser Roxburgh, however, who led the team with 22 points against the Peacocks the first time they played.

Manhattan is coached by John Gallagher, who is in his third season as head coach of the Jaspers.

NOTES
The Peacocks are 62-69 all-time vs. the Jaspers and 36-31 against them at home…Saint Peter's currently holds the 17th-longest home win streak in the country with 10 straight wins at Run Baby Run Arena.
