BETHLEHEM, P.A.- Saint Peter's Baseball team (2-10) grabs their second win of the season with a 12-3 victory over Lehigh (3-10) at Walker Field on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED-
Saint Peter's would see their first run at the top of the second inning with
Steve Polizzi sending it to center field, allowing
Alex Manent to score, followed by
Aidan Forrest running to home after a wild pitch. SPU would hold the Hawks to zero runs at the bottom of the second, thanks to a strong defensive performance.
The Peacocks continued to add on to what was a scoring barrage at the top of the third inning, with Lavely sending it to right field for a home run, giving 3 RBIs to his line and letting
Louis D'Alessio and
Joey Dwyer score. Lehigh would respond with a run of their own, but would end the inning at 5-1.
At the top of the fourth inning, Saint Peter's would add one more run via an error from Dwyer's hit to second base, which allowed Schwartz to get to home plate. This would be answered with two runs from the Mountain Hawks.
SPU would go on to tear through Lehigh's defense, adding four more runs in the fifth with Schwartz sending it to left field for a double and getting RBIs from Polizzi and Fogg to score. In the sixth inning, Fogg would reach first base by a fielder's choice, allowing Manent to run to third and Lavely to score.
Both the Peacocks and Lehigh would go runless for the seventh and eighth inning, till the top of the ninth, Schwartz would send it to right center for Fogg to score. This would be followed by Polizzi scoring on a D'Alessio fly ball to left field. Lehigh would not be able to score at the bottom of the ninth, ending the game in a 12-3 victory for Saint Peter's.
