TEANECK, N.J. - The Peacocks (2-14, 0-3 MAAC) struggled at the plate against FDU (10-7) in their 3-13 loss on Wednesday afternoon.
Alex Manent played exceptionally well with a home run that resulted in two RBIs.
Davis Gore pitched for Saint Peter's for three innings and faced 19 batters and allowed seven hits during his time on the mound.
HOW IT HAPPENED-
The Peacocks started early with two runs being added to the scoreboard at the top of the first inning by a home run by Manent that sent him and
Chase Fogg to home, adding two RBIs to his line. FDU would respond with a run of their own at the bottom of the inning.
Saint Peter's struggles would begin in the second inning, both offensively and defensively, with the Knights scoring a total of nine runs between the second and the sixth inning.
SPU would get their third run of the game at the top of the seventh inning from a
Steve Polizzi double to right center, sending Manent to score. FDU would then respond with two runs of their.
The Peacocks would get one more chance to close the deficit at the top of the eighth, but were unsuccessful with the Knights adding one more run to close out the game as a loss for Saint Peter's.
