URBANA, MD. - The Saint Peter's men's golf team is set and ready for their 2026 spring season to begin. Firstly starting out at the Carpetbagger Classic at Worthington Manor Golf Club on Saturday, Mar. 21 and Sunday, Mar. 22, beginning with a 9:30 am tee off.
The Peacocks enter the spring coming off a fantastic end to the fall season at the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Golf Invitational. In that tournament the story coming out was the incredible performance by
Mohit Sanagavarapu who placed in the top five for individual performance with a +8 score, ranking fourth.
When looking at the total fall season, the headline for golf was the work done by
Shiv Manhas who placed as either first or second for the Peacocks in every single tournament played in the fall. Two strong contenders for Saint Peter's coming out of the fall are
Jeffery Yong and
Jack Hennelly who both provided major contributions to the team in each fall match.
"We are very excited for this season. We ended the fall season strong and I expect that to carry into the spring." Said head coach
Dr. Jim Stefankiewicz. "Our guys are motivated. They are hungry. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people."
As the spring season begins, the Peacocks will perform in four tournaments before heading to the MAAC Championships beginning Apr 28. The spring schedule is as follows:
Carpetbagger Classic: March 21st and 22nd
Battle at Rum Pointe: March 27th and 28th
Roar-EE Invitational: April 18th
Ridge Shootout: April 20th
MAAC Championships: April 28th to April 30th
