URBANA, MD. - The Saint Peter's men's golf team completed the first day of the Carpetbagger Classic at Worthington Manor Golf Club in Urbana, Maryland on Saturday afternoon.
Christopher Hannan ended the first day with a huge performance for the Peacocks, placing 18th for his first round score of +2, a significant improvement following the fall season. Hannan was extremely consistent on the front and back nines, scoring 37 on both trips, both just one over par. The highlight for his performance was scoring a birdie on back to back holes in the front nine before knocking in another birdie on hole 12.
Jack Hennelly finished second on Saint Peter's with a score of +6, placing 62nd overall, this is now the third time from both the fall and now spring that Hennelly has placed second on the Peacocks for best individual performance through the round. Hennelly started strong with a birdie to open up the front nine, but struggled once hitting the middle portion of the front nine before settling back into a grove with multiple birdie holes to end the day.
Saint Peter's following the first round sits in 13th place with a team score of +27. Here are the scores from round one:

DAY TWO
Tee times will remain the same as day one with a 9:30 am ET shotgun start. The same five golfers will continue for Saint Peter's.
