The Peacocks (2-22, 0-9 MAAC) totaled nine hits compared to the Bobcats' (11-14, 5-4) seven, but it still wasn't enough as Quinnipiac secured the series sweep.

Chase Fogg made a difference as well with two RBIs on a double.
Alex Manent homered for the second straight day, this time putting the Peacocks on the board.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bobcats took an early 2-0 lead over the Peacocks and stayed in control, keeping Saint Peter's scoreless for the first three innings. SPU ended the drought in the bottom of the fourth when Manent hit his second home run of the weekend.
The Peacocks then erupted for three runs in the fifth to take a 4-2 lead over Quinnipiac.
Max Doninger and Schwartz got things going with base hits before Fogg hit a double to left field to score both runners.
Steve Polizzi followed it up with a sacrifice fly as Fogg made it home for Saint Peter's fourth run of the day.
Quinnipiac responded with a homer of its own in the top of the sixth, making it a one-run game.
Zaine Toneske made his way to the mound and got the Peacocks out of the inning after one more run. The Bobcats then retook their lead in the seventh after a single to left field scored a runner, making it 5-4.
After Saint Peter's offense slowed down a bit, Quinnipiac added a few runs to take a commanding 8-4 advantage. The Peacocks had a couple of runners on base in the eighth, but it didn't result in any runs scored.
Saint Peter's held the Bobcats steady, but couldn't overcome their pitching in the ninth as the Peacocks ultimately fell by four runs.
