JERSEY CITY, NJ -Saint Peter's University softball rookie
Paige Seemon was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Female Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Paige Seemon has put together an impressive rookie campaign this softball season. The New Jersey Native has started and played all 45 games in centerfield, providing consistency both defensively and in the batter's box. Through 10 weeks of competition, Seemon has led the Peacocks' offense with the highest batting average in three different weeks.
Currently, Seemon paces Saint Peter's with the team's highest batting average (.331), while also leading in runs scored (22), hits (43), doubles (7), and successful stolen bases (8-for-9). Defensively, she has been flawless in center field, committing zero errors and maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, the only everyday starter on the roster to do so.
She also ranks second on the team in OPS (.773), total bases (53), slugging percentage (.408), and on-base percentage (.365), while sitting fourth in RBIs (10) and putouts (78).
Among MAAC leaders, Seemon ranks 23rd in batting average and 17th in hits. She has recorded eight multi-hit games with two hits, the fourth-most on the team, along with two three-hit performances, tied for the most on the roster. Her nine-game hitting streak this season also ranks as the second-longest by a Peacock this year.
Her best performance to date came in the series finale against Niagara, where Seemon paced the offense with a 3-for-4 outing, driving in two RBIs and raising her batting average to .448.
Seemon and the rest of the Peacocks gear up for their final two series of the season, facing FDU in a midweek twin bill at FDU Softball Field before returning home for their final three-game conference series against Fairfield on May 1-2.
